This document number already exists
In some circumstances it is possible that duplicate orders will occur in Great Plains v9. If you want to open either of the 2 you’ll get the following error message:
In my case we had 1 scheduled order and 1 backorder. The backorder was invalid and needed to be deleted. The front-end won’t let you do this so we need to go to the back-end and delete 2 records in there.
In case you need to delete the backorder use the following tables:
SOP30200 – Sales Transaction History
SOP30300 – Sales Transaction Amounts History
In case you need to delete the scheduled order use the following tables:
SOP10100 – Sales Transaction Work
SOP10200 – Sales Transaction Amounts Work
You need to delete the record with the corresponding SOPNUMBE(Order Number) from both of these tables. In my case I had to delete the backorder so I delete 2 records with the corresponding SOPNUMBE(Order Number). First I verified if the order was in the SOP30200 & SOP30300 table:SELECT * FROM SOP30200 WHERE SOPNUMBE = '<SOPNUMBE HERE>'SELECT * FROM SOP30300 WHERE SOPNUMBE = '<SOPNUMBE HERE>'
The order showed up so now we need to delete it:DELETE FROM SOP30200 WHERE SOPNUMBE = '<SOPNUMBE HERE>'DELETE FROM SOP30300 WHERE SOPNUMBE = '<SOPNUMBE HERE>'
After executing above the duplicate error went away in the front-end and I was able to open up the scheduled order.
